Can this be bolted down to floorboards & does it also have rear fixing positions

Thank you for getting in touch with us about this Phoenix Safe, it can be fixed to a floor only and does not have any points in the rear to secure it. If you drilled it then it would void the warranty and also fire protection. It can be fitted to floor boards but you would need different fixings and we recommend a joist as the best point to fix to as it is a fixed point under the floorboards. Otherwise a thief could cut around the floor and remove the safe.

What would happen if I were not to bolt this safe down?

Thank you for getting in touch with us about this fire proof safe. If you were not to bolt the safe down potential thieves would be able to carry the safe off with them and you would also not benefit properly from the fire protection as the holes would not be filled.
