Key Management Cabinets
The use of a key management cabinet in various industries is becoming increasingly popular for daily use. The peg control system provides accountability for the taking and usage of each key when required. We have different options of capacity levels and locking types to choose from.
Who uses a Key Management Cabinet?
The main sectors of industry that would use a key management cabinet would be car dealerships and garages along with property management companies. Any business prefers to have a record of who is currently in the use of each set of keys due to the high value of a car or property.
Key management cabinets can also be commonly used in government organisations and educational departments that require to have information on who is currently in possession of each key.
What is a Peg Control Board System?
A peg control system comes with two different types of pegs, an access peg and a retention peg. The access peg which is individual to each staff member provides access to the keys available on the board. Keys can only be released once an access peg has been inserted, the staff member will then take and hold onto the retention peg until they have finished usage of that set of keys.
Only one peg can be held in the control board at one time, this helps the business identify and track the whereabouts of each set of keys.
