Product Questions
cash rating of ??4,000 or ??40,000 for valuables ? what does this mean? Does this mean that the person I buy the safe off insures the cash I put in it up to 4000 ? so if the safe and my money got stolen they would in effect refund me the money ( I doubt this )... Do insurance companies give a discount to have a safe? Do some insist on having a safe when you have high value items ? Just trying to understand the benefits of a safe and what one with what rating would be best to purchase ? thanks

Thank you for contacting us, this safe is insurance approved and has a cash rating of ??4,000 or ??40,000 for valuables. This is what an insurance company would cover up to for this model and the other sizes in the range. This covers you for storing up to ??4,000 in cash inside the safe and for it to be covered under your policy. You would need to speak to your underwriter to confirm their requirements as there are many factors involved such as alarms or the area you live in. Some insurance companies do give a discount and some will insist so you will need to speak to them directly on this. We hope we have helped to clarify the situation.

What type of fixings are supplied and can this be fitted to a stud wall?

Thank you for contacting us to ask about this product. We do not recommend any cabinets or safes are fixed to a stud wall as it is not a solid fixing point. The fixings supplied are for a solid brick wall. If you need to secure it to a block wall you will need to source alternative fixings which are available from any good DIY store.
